As part of our Believe Chicago initiative to help residents in 19 Chicago neighborhoods struggling with gun violence and high unemployment, AT&T is investing in an entertainment-focused retail store in Chicago’s Englewood neighborhood.
Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, Store manager Asia Harris, AT&T Greater Lakes VP-GM Tom Monahan, AT&T Illinois President Eileen Mitchell and Greater Lakes Director of Sales Paula Vallejo cut the ribbon on the Englewood store on March 9.
The store will employ 11 workers, including staff members from the Believe Chicago neighborhoods.
“Our goal is to become America’s premier retailer. We want to provide Englewood shoppers with an exceptional experience in every interaction, and that begins with having stores conveniently located for our customers,” said Tom Monahan, vice president and general manager, AT&T Greater Lakes region.
The new store in Englewood is located at 6232 South Halsted Street, and it’s open from 10am-7pm, Monday through Saturday and 12pm-5pm on Sunday.
