As part of AT&T’s Believe Chicago initiative, 200 families received a free Thanksgiving turkey dinner thanks to AT&T employees who raised money to help residents in need in the Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood on Chicago’s South Side.
Residents came to the AT&T facility on Cottage Grove Avenue where employees walked them through a line to receive a turkey, stuffing mix, beans, mac & cheese and cranberry sauce.
It’s the second year for the AT&T employees’ Thanksgiving week giveaway. Last year, the employees raised enough money to give away 100 Thanksgiving dinners. This year, employees set a goal to double that number, and they made it happen, thanks to gracious donations from employees throughout the company.
